Actuality of the cabinet, Conference

On 21 March 2024, François Martineau gave a lecture at the Sorbonne to students at the Collège de Droit on the subject of  “L’art de la persuasion: histoires judiciaires” (The Art of Persuasion: Judicial Histories). The lecture provided an opportunity to discuss classical rhetoric and its history with the students, using examples from past and present cases.

Lussan is strengthening its taxation and M&A team by welcoming Roland Poirier. He advises companies on structuring and negotiating their mergers and acquisitions, as well as their shareholders and directors on asset management, governance and tax litigation. Following Linklaters, PwC and Orrick-Rambaud-Martel, where he became a partner in 2000, Roland Poirier joined Brandford-Griffith specializing in stock market transactions in 2007. Whilst continuing to cooperate with his previous law firm on taxation matters, he will develop the company consultancy activity, an important area of Lussan’s growth, alongside his respected work in commercial litigation and corporate criminal law.
